There is no ban on having barbecues that your bring yourself or at permanent barbecue sites (note the exceptions: Gripsholm and Strömsholm, see below). However, we ask that our visitors respect the surroundings, show awareness where there is a ban on lighting fires, and follow the municipality’s local regulations. This means that it is not permitted to litter, damage the ground or cause a fire risk. NB: Disposable barbecues may not be used on our lawns, keep these on gravelled surfaces. 

Gripsholm: No barbecuing/lighting fires is permitted at Slottsholmen
Strömsholm: No barbecuing/lighting fires is permitted in the park.
